Noson strips can be an over the commercial nasal dilator that may be used to enhance the quality of sleep and lessen the risk of snoring. These nasal dilators open the nasal passages, or nostrils to improve airflow. But, are they right? Do they have the ability to alleviate sleep apnea Learn more about these devices, and whether they are worth a try.

The Basics of Nasal Dilators
There are two kinds. There's one for the nasal dilators. They allow the nostrils to open, or nasal passage, from the outside. And the other from the inside. The external dilator is typically composed of a thin piece of stiffened adhesive that is placed on your nose with adhesive. It functions similar to the stiffened band Aid. Noson nasal strips are the most popular however there are many other options.

Nasal dilation occurs when you pull the nostrils wide and the sides of your nose are opened. It's like lifting the sides of a peaked tent to increase the volume inside. It can help ease breathing through your nose and can reduce the amount of snoring you experience. Increased airflow through your nose could be the reason. Ideally, a stream of air would enter through a completely open nose, travel through the throat and past the mouth's base, and enter the lung. The nose may be blocked by occlusions. This can be caused by anatomical or congestion. A trickle or stream can instead be absorbed by the lungs. This causes a turbulent airflow similar to a small , filled with rocks. This causes the tissues that line the throat (especially those of the soft palates and uvulas) may vibrate, causing nasal snoring. The nasal dilator lets you increase the volume of air coming into your nose, while also reducing turbulent air movement. Do Noson Strips reduce snoring? A study of 30 snorers revealed that an external nasal dilator, similar to Noson strips, can be effective in reducing the severity of snoring, as determined through a sleep study or polysomnogram, in 73% of people? The nasal dilators are most effective when the snorers don't have other breathing issues for example, obstructive sleep apnea. There are mixed findings from other studies regarding the effectiveness of these treatments. Noson strips were found to be efficient in treating sleep apnea. However, snoring was somewhat reduced.

Side effects of noson strips
There are no side effects to these products, other than the possibility of an allergic reaction the adhesives utilized with external nasal dilators. Although nasal dilator sheets could help with snoring, they do not treat sleep disorder. Utilizing the strips to lessen symptoms can give an illusion of certainty about the efficacy of the therapy. Other devices that open the nasal passages According to a review of literature the internal nasal dilators have shown a slightly higher improvement in snoring than the external nasal strips. Provent is a prescription product. Theravent is a non-prescription alternative. They reduce the amount of exhaled air by drawing air into the nose. To help stabilize the airway and reduce vibrations, they create the impression of a larger volume.

The issue of sleep is a problem.
They are fairly simple to use and can be a feasible option for those who've tried all other options. You might consider giving them a try to determine if they're helpful.
